The museum and authors (and sisters) Joan Mueller Peters and Lisa Mueller Howard, have teamed up to give youth ages 6 to 12 some of the experiences that young Katy (the subject of their books) did on the Turner County prairie 150 years ago. The three half-day immersive adventure will be held on the museum complex and the adjacent Freeman Prairie Arboretum Thursday and Friday afternoons (1-5) and Saturday morning (8 to noon) - July 30-August 1.
