“We have to do this again next year!”
That confident comment was voiced and met with the agreement of many recently as the Freeman Community Center was abuzz with guests of all ages. It was the first day of December and Freeman’s Hometown Christmas celebration was underway.
Sponsored by the Freeman Community Development Corporation, in collaboration with several local entities, those in attendance for the event enjoyed free food, free kids’ activities, socializing and more. Local vendors were on hand with an assortment of products to provide for a variety of Mistletoe Market shopping opportunities. Free Hometown Bingo resulted in sixteen holiday hams being given away to the lucky winners. And, of course, a long line of kids gathered to greet and visit with the evening’s special guests: Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Appreciation is extended to the following volunteers and donors who enabled this Christmas event to come to life: the Freeman Missionary Church, Freeman Regional Health Services, the Freeman Shopping Center, Printed Impressions, Salem Mennonite Home, Vintage Vault Floral & Fashions Boutique, all of the participating local vendors and the members of the Freeman Community Development Corporation.Click on the link, turn up the volume and enjoy a 2-minute recap video here.
