Do you know someone who’s made a positive impact in the Freeman community through the generosity of their volunteer efforts? The Freeman Community Development Corporation is providing an avenue to not only acknowledge and celebrate volunteers but to also share their stories as a way of inspiring others to volunteer in our community.
If you consider yourself to be part of the Freeman community, you’re invited to submit a nomination. FCDC membership is not a requirement for making or receiving a nomination. To access the nomination form, as well as additional details and criteria, visit CityofFreeman.org/fcdc or scan the accompanying QR code. Hard copy forms are also available at City Hall, 185 E. Third Street in Freeman. Volunteer nominations will be accepted through December 22 and judged by a team of FCDC representatives.
Nominations can be made in the following categories: 1) OFF TO A GREAT START AWARD, recognizing a youth or pre-professional young adult volunteer. 2)MAKING A DIFFERENCE AWARD, recognizing an individual volunteer. 3) IN THIS TOGETHER AWARD, recognizing the combined volunteer efforts of a family. 4) PAVING THE WAY AWARD, recognizing a business that facilitates volunteerism.
Winners announced at the FCDC’s Annual Meeting at the Freeman Community Center Meeting Room on Monday, February 5, at 5:30 PM. All community members are invited to attend.
